i am pretty much.after my new price rises come into force next month! ;D
my only minor irritation is my debt list is rarely below £500 at any one time.sometimes its as much as £1500.im thinking of upgrading CP to the pro version and offering go cardless for late payers.how easy is it to set up and how much do they charge per transaction?
cheers guys

Easy to incorporate and a flat 1% fee with a maximum of £2 charge. So anything over £200 is still only £2 to collect. Best thing I ever did was combine the 2

Quite shocked your not already on go cardless daz. Its by far the best way. Getting them on it is not so easy though.

how safe and secure is it though?so when the customer sets up a direct debit linked to gocardless the payment gets paid into your gocardless account then you transfer it into your bank account?is that right?
i want to use it for all the late payers if i can so i get paid quicker.
what happens if theres no money in the customers account for the direct debit though?or when you add a price rise?

I don't use the pro version of cleaning planner as we were already up and running with go cardless and my wife does not find a problem with having two pages open on computer screen
New customers as I've started re building and remodelling the rounds have a choice if there not happy with a DD from first clean( sadly with higher end houses it can be an obstacle) they can pay on line , But I state if payment is not in within week they have to go DD or we cancel as it's a way to maintain our cash flow
All bad payers are on DD or when replace given the ultimatum
Sadly last year I cancelled around 20 clients, all really good jobs well priced £65-85 but getting paid was a nightmare so although well priced not worth if it takes 12 weeks to get paid about 40% return and gone onto go cardless
Go cardless really good payment option

I await a “GOCARDLESS IS THE BEES KNEES FOR MY BUSINESS - WHY DIDN'T I DO IT A LONG TIME AGO” thread.

i think what ill do is ask a few of my customers whether this could be an option for them in future as theres no point paying £25 a month if only 3 or 4 customers are willing to pay via gocardless.
ideally id want say 100 customers paying by GC to make it worthwhile.i already offer BACS,cheques, standing orders, etc

Just don't give them the option and put everyone on gocardless.
You are supposed to be running a professional business not a charity. lol

True to a point I've had a few who get their son/daughter to set up. But in all honesty its the older folk who are the best payers there generally in and don't believe in being in someone's debt. It's the younger people you want on gc especially bloody doctors
Daz go cardless pays straight into any account you want you don't have to transfer anything

Why do you have to upgrade cleaner planner?
Go cardless works on its own.
I use george and go cardless.
Its very simple daz. Once they have signed up all you need to do is log in and request payment.
Let day yiu do a days work and there's 5 customers who pay by go cardless.
Go to the site and and take the payments, takes 5 mins

I have about 40 customers on go cardless
It's pretty good, ideal for those ones who are simply too busy to remember to pay.
I don't insist on go cardless, but if they don't pay within the week they get a daily reminder text until they do, with information on how to set up direct debit should that be something they want.

I use George as there is no monthly charge of £25, most of my customers pay by bank transfer as most new customers prefer bank transfers (online payment) with no service costs involved. Despise cheques, loathe them, time consuming and unnecessary , should be abolished. Happy getting new customers and getting rid of PITA customers keeps me happy :)
