Post by: CleanerCarpets on March 13, 2017, 12:21:27 pm
Is a gear driven pump ok on a Yanmar L100?

Its a Annovi RK15.20H 1450rpm, just wondered if its ok with the diesel vibes?

I have an RS500 on a diesel and has been happy for many years / hours.  Replace the key every year

Replace the key? On the engine starter?

The engine drive shaft has a keyway that at direct drive pump or rs500  reduction gearbox slots onto. Then it's held in place with what they call a key.
