I was out working today when I got a phone call from my daughter.
A man knocked on our door and insisted that I must clean their gutters and windows today. She gave me the address. It was a house I used to do occasionally, but the last time I called there the woman there asked me to clean the gutters but haggled over the price. I walked away that time. Her son, who lives in the same estate, still owes me for cleaning his gutters and windows over 2 years ago!
Maybe I am getting a bit cantankerous, but I am blowed if I am going to go out of my way for people like that.
