Hi, has anybody recently used or have knowledge on L-Cedar canvassing?
Looking to meet them next week so be interested to know if anybody has used them.
Many thanks,
Peter.

Where did you find them

No mate. It didn't come up on my search for window cleaning canvassers.
Found the web site. It says you have to pay CASH!! How much do they charge
-
Hi Duncan,
Charges are 4 to 6 weeks x 2 and 8 to 12 weeks x 1.5
Yeh I'm concerned about the cash element but the canvasser I'm meeting is willing to allow a test of £200 to £250 of work to satisfy my concerns.
Gonna take a punt and see how it pans out.
Meeting Monday eve so will report back after.

I only ever payed 2 X when I used canvassers....no way would I pay X3 for canvassed work!!
-
Best to train some young lad up and employ them to do it.
That's what most of these companies do anyway. It works our cheaper.
I managed to find a couple of lads last year but they only lasted a couple of sessions each before quitting. Hard to find someone. I will try again later this year I think.

That's all well and good and I agree it's expensive. First couple of companies I used charged 2x but now I can't find anyone willing to do my area for that so it is what it is.

same area as you mate WAKEFIELD.
Lucky if you can even get one round here. Hard work compared to south UK
-
Wish i could move duncan tbh , its really hard going round here, too many cheap window cleaners about and yorkshire folk are tight as they come.
Must be nice to work in an affluent village down south with no competition.
-
I find the canvassing companies cannot get the prices I require, which is a shame
Example one estate I canvas other cleaners £11-12 a house, me £20 I have more than enough work there and it's always growing and people ring me who are using other companies
So it's easier to do it myself or use internet advertising, it is is slower but better prices, last two weeks over 25 requested quotes
Like the idea of training someone to canvass all the time, something to think about

Same as mate. Loads of windys at silly prices.
Got a customers in a new estate. I charge him £10. Someone else quoted him £5 WFP. That's that estate out then. Don't get me wrong. Its an easy clean, but I keep my prices on the top end.
If everyone did the same. All our lives would be better

I'm about £10-£12 for an average semi, Dont do much for less than a tenner. I don't think that's extortionate but struggle to get that. Next door neighbour pays £4.50 ???

Adam....I do a lot of 3 bed semis nearly all in the same half mile diameter of my house....I charge less than £10 per semi and can easily knock out £30 per hour....90% of the round though is very compact.
I very much doubt there are many semis owners round here pay £20 per month for window cleaning unless they have a massive conservatory.

Ive lower prices before to get work but I always end up regretting it whilst doing it.
My work isn't compact but at my prices I too do about 30 an hour. On more compact work (which tends to be canvassed work I can hit 40 an hour)
Just need more of it!
