Like most of us on here I have gx390, yes it's a good little machine that serves me well..... But
If u was going to get a decent hot pressure washer, what machines would you be looking at......

Briggs/interpump...Rutland pumps.

buy a hot box and fit it to the machine you have.
It depends on the work you are going to go with it if you want it totally independent (so you don't need an electric supply) then you are going for quite a big machine but I would go down the hot box route as I wouldn't need hot water most of the time so could leave it of the trailer.

That's the first option Mike, am not looking to target any particular area just picking brains so I can look at costing.

Mazzoni is what has been recommended time and time again, as that gives you steam as well, opening up a whole new range of cleaning.
At least with a hot box, if your hot box fails for whatever reason, you can bypass it and use cold to keep you working. Something you may not be able to do if you run a permanent hot system, depending on how its set up.

Good point concept, most jobs are just done with cold anyway.
I would say am still new to pressure washing, had my machine about 2 years and done quite a few jobs, regular window cleaning customers wanting entrances, car parks, blocked areas etc etc.
I have a job I clean in the city centre, they asked me about moving the gum, now my machine will get quite a bit of it up just on cold but I wouldn't take a gum removal job on. Anyways, they got someone in and he was there for a few hours (3 maximum ) and put a bill in for £400 ...... Got me thinking

I get asked from time to time to price large commercial jobs which I have to turn down because I don't have the kit to make it a viable option so I know where you are coming from Matt.

I would only convert to hot water if I could line a few decent priced jobs up to be done, at the minute it's just something in the head to think about......
