Post by: dave f on February 23, 2017, 12:16:57 pm
I have always had sign written vans all the time I have done window cleaning  I m o it looks the part this was confirmed the other day when I picked up a new account I was told after a bit of chit chat that I only got the job because  how profestional  it looked and smart and clean looking  .I have only had couple of jobs off the back of sign writing so it goes to show what some people think about first impretions

You have more chance of someone coming over to you when your sat in van to ask you to do their windows if your vans sign written  than not written. I was sat in my van once in town not working and a lady approached me and said will I clean her windows, but before I got it signed what I used to get was are you a window  cleaner  but now just ask me if I can fit them into my round

I park van in Waitrose few times a week it's amazing the calls  you get as I always ask where they got my number from

Saturday afternoon and Sunday always are good times

And more often there good size properties

That's one of ours. Gets lots of good work and I often get people saying they see our vans around. It's definitely worth a few hundred ££'s getting it done.

Looks well smart.
I considered getting my fiat scudo sign writtened, but i think it will only last a couple of years. So when van dies, i plan on getting a brand new one and then i will definitely get it sign written as it does look more professional.
In the meantime i opted for magnatized signs which has also generated work. But even if neither of these options generate work, people do take note.
Lol the only criticism i get for my signs is from this forum, not the general public   ;D

im not a lover of a fully sign written van myself and i hate driving or being an area i dont cover and get a call, however i hated pulling up in some of the areas i work and noisey neighbours coming out thinking i was scoping the place out so just had the logo put on the side and phone no and website on the rear.
it has got me work but personally i prefer recommendations off family, neighbours etc and word of mouth!

I found having my van signwritten was one of the best things i could do. Have to make sure its clean though, you dont want a dirty window cleaning van advertising clean windows do you?
