Hate this time of year. The cold just makes it so stiff, it gets stuck and caught constantly, it wont lay down properly, when i pull it it gets a bit too kinky, and its so dirty, my hand just get covered only after my first job. It just gets all over my boots, trousers, the van is a mess. Hate it.

Not with hot it doesn’t. Its worth it for the easier reeling in let alone anything else.

Don't have a problem with the hose stiffness with cold water but the dirt does my head in too. Everything gets plastered in it. Vans a right state all the time in winter.

Using warm/hot water does help in hose management in cold weather. Use a rag when reeling in the hose also helps and maybe wear gloves to stop your hands getting dirty too.

Don't see how getting angry helps?

Ooops! It should read rag. Anyhow rage as well sometimes comes into it as I'm sure you found out.
Cat & dog poop is my pet hate lol

I always wipe off hose with a cloth as I wind it in. Sorts out occasional poop issues. I carry a bucket of water just for my hose rag.

you dont have to suffer marc!make things easier for yourself! :)
1.wear gloves(i wear showa 377s with nitrile glove liners underneath)
2.always use a cloth when reeling in/putting pole away
3.invest in a hot water system it makes the hose really manageable and helps to keep hands warm!
best wishes

At least with wfp its fairly easy to deal with shiite, i can remember several incidents when using ladders of getting it in the grooves of the ladder steps. The 1st you'd know about it was coming down the ladder and being met with the unmistakable stench of cat muck, by which time it was probably on your hands, bottom of your jeans etc :-[ and generally meant a trip home to get the pressure washer out . I dont miss that one little bit. :)
