Ok, ive stuck to my guns on using tap valves attached to hose clipped to my side with holsters, for some time now. Even on thread "aquadapter or univalve".
However had a go of a friend's who ordered the gooseneck valve. Kinda liked the idea and so ordered one. Came this morning and have used it for half a day so far, so thought add a comment about it, perhaps not that u care, but hey
Im using it with my new slx25 pole and ultimate medium soft brush. My first opinion was i didnt fully like it. I think it depends on the brush you use. My brush is so light, that sometimes when you catch on frames or the brush may snag on frames etc, i found it would turn the flow off.
Also those times you use the brush sidewards, that has the habbit of turning the flow off. As i walk to the next job, i would swing my pole over my shoulder, the swing motion would turn the flow on. Finally depending if im wiping upstairs sill from left to right (pending angle/side im stood) that would turn the flow on.
So initial not sold on the idea. I changed my brush (to one with 4 jets) whichbis heavier and that solved some of these issues, apart from working with the brush sidewards. As my brush is slightly heavier it swings round and yes, turns the flow off.
I then realised to perhaps tighten the valve lug nuts and that seems to have done it. So a slight difference in how i work and a slight change to set up, im enjoying the valve. Think its a great idea and perhaps easier than univalve as you can have both hands on pole and operate as soon as brush hits window.
The only downside for me, it was taking longer faffing with picking up end of main hose and carrying it to next job on street or dragging it on floor to next window. So personnally im now using both concepts, the holster (no tap valves) and gooseneck valve.
Brilliant piece of kit Alex,

Glad you like it...However old habbits did hard for me as I still use the pole hose on the outside of the pole so that gizmo would be no good for me. I also like to use sometimes long arm swivel brush combo so again it would be no good for that either.
