Title: HELP!!!How to screw things into van (It's not ply lined)
Post by: C & S on February 06, 2017, 07:55:29 pm
Hello gents,

Bit of help needed.

My vans not ply lined, however I want to attach a few things to the inside, clips, pole holder, clamps to hold gutter vac tubes etc as the bag is horrendous.

Van has some holes in it already etc don't  want to go drilling many more..

Some sort of washer and Bolt set.up.

Much appreciated

You'll have to ply line the sides then. No other option really.

The floor you could bolt through if you don't want to ply it or similar. Personally I use stainless steel nuts, bolts & washers.

Self tapping screws/bolts?

Not going through the side of van, however plenty of joists etc to go into.....

Use a big magnet or two ? Use small "wood washers" to screw into what you've set into the vans moulded framework..possibilities endless.

pole holders you want to fix them to the inside van roof if you have room(i use thick cable ties).as for the van floor i use a piece of plywood covered in a durable waterproof plastic for the back portion of the floor so i can screw my hose reel down.the sides of the van i used to use bungees for keeping pole hose off the floor, etc.on one side i also screwed in a piece of plywood, covered it in heat proof material and fixed my gas heater to it.

don't bother with cable ties if I was you...Get some soil pipe and the brackets that go with it and use tek screws.

Tek screws for anything else too they are solid!
