As I am new to driveway cleaning I'm not 100% on the process when it comes to weed killer . Some people have advise me that its not worth doing because its more of a gimmick then anything else. But how would I clean a driveway that has got weeds as bad as the picture without first killing the weeds ?

I would kill them weeds first or 4 weeks later they will be back, or tell the customer to buy some Round Up and give them a heavy dose themselves.

This is what weedkiller does, how is it a 'gimmick' ?

Thanks for reply mike what do you use to kill those weeds mate ? And if I did come across a job like this how long after using weed killer could I pressure wash the paving.

I used a systemic weedkiller called asteroid. Therecticallly it takes 6hrs to get into the route system, from that point the weed is dead it just takes weeks to visible die upwards
You can blast off the heads of the weeds after 6hrs they will not look dead but they are.
Got to say I tend to spray it down a few day before so the customer can see some evidence of the weedkiller working

Going by this site you have to be trained to use it https://www.pitchcare.com/shop/professional-total-weed-killers/asteroid-pro-450-glyphosate-5l.html
