Hi guys, I have a 40 40 RO system and despite recently changing the resin the water is coming out at 9 PPM. Anyone know why this might be? The booster pump also leaks slightly but no biggy is that common.
Thanks

Are you sure your TDS monitor is accurate? if your mixed bed resin is brand new you should surely be getting 0ppm what's it reading from tap then after RO?
-
what Simon says makes sense only other explanation is that your water tank might be contaminated causing the ppm to raise .

I dont use a 4040 so not sure if this applys but would think it does.
Whats the ppm before your water hits the DI? As this perhaos would give indication where the problem lays

Ro might be shot...As others have mentioned we need to know tds after ro and before di.

Take a reading of your tap water, then test water after RO then test again after RO water has passed through demin resin. if your resin is brand spanking new it should be 0ppm for a while at least. Have you put the RO in to the housing correctly? It's best to have two TDS monitors as if one isn't accurate or not concerned filter system is at fault.

Thanks guys will check it all and see the results.

Have you got the resin vessel connected properly water in water out to reel,it should say it on the top of the bottle. It's common for it to do this if you connected it back up wrong way round,if you've done it properly it should read 000 from the first cup full.
