I just received an order from WCW for my first Moerman equipment.

So far, so underwhelming. Although I think the ideas and the design are good I am disappointed in the build quality and the final execution. Firstly the 'dog ear' clip things don't seem to seat properly on the channel although they do seem to be serving their purpose OK. Secondly, having bought the bundle I'd have thought that the BOB would be designed to fit the squeegee but alas no, the slot is still the same size and shape as all the other BOBs I've got, perfect fit for an old school squeegee not for the spring clamp and swivel.
Overall the whole kit and caboodle feels cheap. I realise I'm probably being overly OCD but I was just hoping for better to be honest.
Got a big inside job to do tomorrow so I'll see how well it performs on the job.

Honestly, you can't beat a wagtail flipper for trad work. They do require a few small and easy mods but boy- once you have mastered one they are a priceless tool! I do quite a bit of intenal stuff, hotels etc and one of these, at times combined with a pole, angle and short extension handle has sped things up no end, eliminated the use of ladders for the most part and just brought a new dimension to this kind of work. Could not be without one now.

I have a wagtail also. It has a similar cheap and nasty feel to it although the swivel was a revelation; especially for squeegee pole work.

Had a few of these, poor quality and to be honest i wouldnt buy and moerman

Not tried the excelarator but I love the liquidators...They do take some mastering though...
I can't use any other squeeges now :)

Agree 100% I use the same for pole work and it enables me to clean insides and outsides to the same standard as if I were using a ladder

I know what you mean but saying that, my wagtails must be 8 years old now and still going. I remember when it arrived, it looked and felt like something you would be conned with via some cheesy shopping channel!! In fact, so dissapointed was I on initial inspection, I threw it in the back of the van and didn't actually use it for a few weeks to begin with! ;D

i stick with unger trad tools.they might make heavy cumbersome poles/brushes but their trad stuff is good. :)

i dont do much trad work these days, the unger ergotech squeegees and t mops ive got will last another 20 years yet! ;)

If you ain't got swivel you ain't got owt. Only about 3 or 4% (maybe less) of my work is squeegee so I could get on fine with the old fashioned dinosaurs you're using too, but why would you?

I've just received my Moerman Excelerator with 10 inch fliq today from WCW, plus a load of other goodies.
Not impressed at all with the delivery company but hey ho!
I was a bit underwhelmed too, but i've taken the day off and spent a few hours getting used to it and I think it could be quite good. I genuinely think it's going to earn me some money, but we'll see.

Thats good SB Cleaning, keep them coming, i recently bought an Excelerator, used it for the first time on the interior glass
of a large bungalow, loads of windows, it does take some mastering to use, but I'm getting there gradually, i didn't use the Fliq
pad yet, until I'm more proficient with the squeegee itself, but amazed at very little detailing to do, i think the more i use it the
more i will like it as my everyday trad tool.
