Title: Jaguar cub - foam in motor
Post by: Marius Alexandru on January 19, 2017, 07:38:03 pm
I got foam in the motor of a jaguar cub, foam came out of the motor, dried it up for 15 minutes, all seems to work fine, anything else I should do ? Will it be ok ?

Did you dry run the vacs for a few minutes without the lid?

That's all you can really do mate. Should be fine though, its happened to me once or two in the passed and it was ok.

If you really wanted to you could open up the machine and see if there is any water on the base, mop it up with a terry towel.

I must do this once a week, go outside to see extractor spitting out steam and water I just take off the lid and let it run for 5 minutes while I empty the tank into the drain or gutter.  It will harm the motors I guess but so far (12 months) I've been lucky.

I think it would be a different story if I didn't have a filter cage over the vacuum intake. If I was sucking fluff & debri through then vacuum motors  they would soon clog up and fail

I did this dozens of times with cubs , blow it out by running vac for a few mins, always run vac dry with open waste lid after each job , these motors last at least 3 years.
