Post by: johnny bravo on January 18, 2017, 07:17:06 pm
I need some good pole hose for my UNIVALVE,
i was going to get some blue from ex ceed today  @ £12 for 10m,   then hit with delivery taking it to £17 ,  i forgot to get some when i got my Univalve 3 weeks ago.   i should have.    too excited about my univalve.

GARDINERS do a green PU hose ,     is anyone using Gardiners with a univalve fitted.     Any good.   @ £14 for 30m

I have used them all.
If I remember correct, the Gardiner hose is too flexy. Works but with issues.
With aqua dapter it didn't work when extended. Think it will be the same.

I was going to order loads more bits, but Steve never replys to emails or calls. Getting balled off with it.
Shame, because his gear is good

Are you talking about the yellow all season hose by any chance? Because that is a pvc hose and it becomes extremely stretchy when warm either in summer or when using hot water. I've had no problems with the Green PU hose from Gardiner's. Works perfect with the Univalves in my two poles and I haven't even got 'O' clips holding it on.

i dont use an aquadapter but i started using the green pu hose a few months ago as the all season wasnt lasting long with the hot water which it isnt intended to be used with as we know.
at first i thought it was just the same as the orange stuff, quite stiff and stays curled and kinks but after a few days of breaking it in its been fantastic, loosens up just fine when slightly warmed, doesnt curl up and i bought  30 metres of it as i thought i'd be swapping it due to the bore expanding like the yellow stuff but ive not changed it once yet.
i recommend it 8)
