Title: Window cleaning software / round management
Post by: GrantF on January 16, 2017, 05:25:28 pm
Hello Guys,

been window cleaning for a couple years now part time but I'm an app developer.

I am  setting up a new window cleaning / all round cleaning round management system with cloud based web app and mobile apps, what would you like to see in it to make it user friendly and easy to use?

Its all be done already to be honest, i think the only way you would win custom is on price and not features as the other apps virtually have every feature a window cleaner needs already. I reckon you would be putting a lot of time and effort into something that you wouldn't get a decent return on really.

Yes although far from perfect, George desperately needs to get away from the obsolete Palm for Pocket George IMO.
I have George on a 10" tablet in the van because the Palm doesn't give anything like enough information but it's hard going and I don't even have fat fingers! I still print George worksheets also.
I have tried the Cleaner Planner trial and can see it's the way forward but I just can't justify £18 a month inc. vat on even if it is tax deductable.

£18 ey?

The resultant reduction of my debt list easily covers that.

Time saved (vs my old software) easily covers that.

The value of GoCardless integration easily covers that.

The text feature (never have to miss a back again) easily covers that.

Advertising additional services via CP easily covers that.

+ lots of other features besides.

Each to there own Soupy.
It is £18 a month inc. VAT though unless I'm missing something.
I don't use go cardless, just BACS which for me with Santander (ex alliance & Leicester) are free as are cheques & cash.
My texts on my phone are free with three though I do have to do them manually and am trying to get rid of my text customers gradually as they are forever the ones that text back after I've done my worklist for the following day & put the tablet away.
Finally, admittedly, I'm not that good with change. I know George like the back of my hand.
Cleaner Planner looks great though and like I said, I can see it's the way forward.

3p each or something. I'd happily text all my customers the day before, every time. Makes for a nice straight forward problem free day. Also for chasing debts it's immense.
