Title: Tucker brush

I used one years ago when I used to use a Tucker pole. Nice quality bristles but found I had to press incredibly hard to get enough splay for the inner bristles to contact the glass. Seemed a real waste as brush was packed with inner bristles that never got used.

If this has changed I would be very tempted to buy one as the bristles are high quality.

Post by: dd on January 16, 2017, 09:38:01 am: At 275g incl fittings it seems around the weight of a standard sl brush. From my experience of using one 10 years or so ago it would last much longer than a Gardiner's brush so IMO would be cheaper over time.

The Tucker brush I had did not fold flat. In fact I could not get it to splay enough to make the inner bristles contact the glass.

Post by: NWH on January 16, 2017, 03:58:47 pm: That brush they are selling I've had before it's heavy if not in weight on the end of a pole it feels like a brick,Gardiner's is the closest brush to a Tucker without the oversplay. The tucker is better suited to high office type windows as it almost splays like the medium extreme brush when in use,good quality bristles although if you leave it in the van with something pressing on it you'll need to dip it in hot water to reshape it,i found them to heavy for domestics.
