Hi just about to set up my window cleaning business and was looking at poles etc what is best? Pencil jets or fan jets?
Thanks Jamie

On this forum you might as well ask what people feel about marmite;
You either like it or hate it.
Same with your question, its down to peoples personal preference. I use four pencil jets and that works fine for my liking

Fan jets are the best

2 fans on one side and 2 pencils on other does it for me... ;D

Fan Jets for me :)

I've used fan jets for years,I went back to pencil jets early last year and find them much better and more accurite,this might sound odd but I honestly save water with pencil jets,some will disagree but hence why I went back to pencil ones but each to their own,I'm always right ;D ;D ;D

Fans on full. Much quicker and uses less.
If you are starting out, use pencil jets

It's a case of what works for you really. I don't have a problem with either but my preference is fans for same reason as Duncan H. Like Duncan I would also recommend pencils to start with.

Blaaaaaahhhhhh!
look up the many arguments threads on this, personally i prefer fan jets, but it really is for you to try both and then choose what suits your technique best.
with fan jets you really need to get the Lumark ones available ( pricey ) from WCW or spray tips and make your own setup on the brush

I prefer pencil jets on windows but fan jets for gutters and soffits etc.
You would do well to buy both and try them for yourself. As with many things to do with window cleaning, it's all down to personal preference, as we all work differently. I have spent loads of time and money trying all sorts of stuff but it's the only way you can find what works best for you. Good luck.

I use mostly fan jets but thinking on pencils jets in the winter as they put more water on the glass and with all the winter muck on the glass they will work better for me.
