Title: R.O. Pressure saga
Post by: combat1 on January 10, 2017, 05:49:46 pm
Ok everyone have a good new year laugh!!
Changed the filters and lost half my pressure in the system.
Burnt out a booster pump trying to fix it.
New pump still 40 instead of 80psi.
So today got fed up and stripped the lot down, checked all connections, new filters, silicone grease on o rings and new resin. flushed the filters to drain for half an hour.
Ran for a couple of hours without the booster.
Switch on booster pump..... guess what 120psi!
probably down to new filters.
Tell you what though its producing like rabbits!
Apparently the 350GPD systems have this problem quite a lot.

These things are totally frustrating. My problem was trapped air and not tightened enough on membrane housing. My psi is the same as it was before changing membranes so happy with that. My tds before changing was 017 i think (cant recall now) but its now 011 before di, so again pleased with that.
But my biggest suprise is how quick it is producing even with booster on and the pump being the same psi with the old membranes attached. (Only a 1yr n half old b4 changing them)
