Title: UNIVALVE ON POLE HOSE, exceed or gardiners PU hose
Post by: johnny bravo on January 08, 2017, 08:17:29 pm
Gardiners PU pole hose,    is this good enough to fit my new uni valve onto,    i have Exceed blue hose ATM with a tap fitted onto it,   so i want another pole hose to fit my univalve onto.      Im getting a new brush from gardiners , so adding a few bits to get free postage.     There pole hose is a wee bit cheaper,  But is it as good as Exceeds blue PU pole hose.     Anyone have gardiners PU hose with a Univalve fitted onto it.
Need to make my mind up,    had the univalve for a week now,  not used yet.
Do gardiners do fittings to connect my 1/2 hose onto a shurflo pump for better  stability,  leak free

I had the Gardiner yellow hose  ( I think it was the pu newer type, defo not the 'all season') when first using the Univalve. It wasn't as good as Exceed blue imo as it has a bit more stretch in it when pulling on /off.
I do use warm water most of the time so maybe this contributed to the problem. But, don't have this the same effect with Exceed blue. It also is surprisingly long lasting.

Just for clarification all of our yellow hoses are PVC hoses not PU.

We do also sell two types of PU Hose - Orange which is our standard Hot Water type PU Hose and Green which is a softer formulation.

Cold water,  PU       green,   gardiners     30m = £14.95+vat.   exceed around £12 for 10m.      if this is as good as the blue exceed.

Ah, right. Thanks.
My Univalve still worked with the yellow pvc hose though. It just stretched to much with the pull.
You should be OK with either of the Orange or green or blue then.
