Cheers think I'll get one fitted.

Odd. I have a fan fitted as it was a drugs van. rear heater, rear aircon.
Every morning its all wet. The fan makes it vented
-
Did you fit it yourself or take it to a workshop
-
i fitted it myself there is a bit of moisture on the roof now the temp dropped but no drips i drilled 5 pilot holes and ten used a jigsaw with a wood dlade on it yes a wood blade cut straight through here is the tutorial i watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09Gpu96ffKo

yes i looked at this video, seems straight forward, i will be looking at getting one installed, moisture is bad this time of year
ill look out for a hole saw. nice clean cut. ive never thought about this but will now, if not for now for next year deffo.

carefull with the hole saw i bought one didnt cut through then i realised it was a wood hole saw hence the electric jigsaw used

A dehumidifier works perfectly in our vans. Any dampness from the working day is gone for the next day. I also have noticed that with the lack of dampness, the van equipment is slower to reach freezing point, although heaters are on frost stat, but rarely kick in.
One the best bits of equipment for keeping us going through winter months.
Just my pennies worth..... 8)

That's a good point. It needs to be able to cut steel. I big one isn't cheap either.

looks straight forward on youtube or the Flettner website, around £70 for theres, good straight forward video. diy . or biy, bust it yourself as i probably would. id probably get more water coming in by doing it myself. you would have to get it right.

My missus karcher window vac works a treat ;D ;D
-
to me my van is just a work van.im not bothered by a bit of water/moisture.its inevitable when wfp.having the heaters on full blast driving to and from work(and lunchtime in winter)helps. :)

For those that already have vents on the roof of their vans and have a full bulkhead, do the vents completely prevent water/condensation on the inside of the vans roof?
-
well i thought mine did untill the temp dropped to 0 minus so looking back i used to have 100s of droplets ready to fall but they have gone now i have a layer of moisture which i can write my name in but no droplets i dont know maybe its stopped 50% to 60 % but i dont have a solid bulk head i have strong bars and mesh i think there better for animal transportation dont get me wrong its worked for me

No

I'd be surprised if an air vent got rid of all (if any to be honest) the moisture in the back of the van, you'd need an extractor fan type gizmo or dehumidifier as someone above has mentioned
Theres no air circulation when your van is stationary, and the van roof is always going to be colder than the air inside due to it being metal and conducting the temperature outside

I have a transit custom with fixed bulk head,I get quite a bit of moisture on roof,my previous van was an expert no fixed bulk head due to this van would dry out during the day with heater on and window open a bit.
Dehumidifier is the way to go ,as others have said,or a 2kw heater on all night but that would be costly,,
