Post by: Klean07 on December 23, 2016, 09:28:53 am
My van was boarded out when I brought it two years ago but even though I used protectakote on floor its all breaking up like a biscuit so I need to replace it. Any idea's??

Remove wood and put a rubber mat over the floor to protect the paintwork from anything that might scratch it.

cheap car rubber mats in mine and thats all ive ever used in wfp vans.

van floor is always damp/wet from either drips/leaks or flooding the van.no rust on van floors ever.work that one out! :)

i do have chipboard down at the back to fix hose reel down (with rubber mats on top of the board)

Yes rubber mats sound good but shall have to get something fixed to fix my reel onto! What about stainless steel checkerplate?

I think most vans are zinc coated now but as long as the metal has its original paint covering intact it wont rust, I think all this floor covering nonsense came about because of the pure water urban myth that it was corrosive.
