Go cardless & bank transfers have killed tips this year, still, beats having to knock to collect all year.
-
I've never had many. The two that work for me haven't picked up much either. I never did get much but I am a miserable git, so perhaps that's it?
-
Baaaa humbug

I always gave my window cleaner bacon rolls, bottle of whiskey and £20 at Christmas when he did my last clean of the year. Then he just vanished into the ether. Caught up with him and he said my windows were a pain in the ass to reach confused Not sure tipping has the desired effect round these parts.
Give the postie something in an envelope as he is brilliant. Binmen, there are so many of them, may just get a big tin of chocolates to share. They are nice, ring my bell when I leave my car door open all the time
-
I gave my wheelie bin cleaner a £10 xmas tip and he was over the moon, i clean his gf's windows and she gave me sweet FA. Such is life

well dont get your hopes up of building up a good domestic round then(well better than "average").people buy people up here in the north west.personality goes a long way in picking up customers through word of mouth and recommendation as well as the usual doing a good job, reliable and trustworthy. :)
you just wont do as well as a more outgoing friendly window cleaner. ;)

Not quite true. You just need balls apparantly and apply a service charge to each customer. Instant tips ;D

One old boy on my round gave me £25 tip last year, so every time since (and he's always in) I felt I owed it to him to stand there for sometimes 10 minutes listening to his drivel for the last 12 months, called this week with his Christmas card.....nothing, just a 'merry Christmas'
*slaps own face* ;D
-
I'm up to £50
Wow, what will I spend it on!!!!
Last year I got £150 ish, but £50 came on one tip
Couldn't believe that one
That was on a commercial
A bloke I have never met, (lives in Hartlepool) rings me now and again.
I did a job last year for him, £300, Finnished by dinner time and he says have an extra £50 and treat your wife to dinner.
Never happened before and won't again I suppose ???
