Title: Frozen chems
Post by: Paul Simpson on December 01, 2016, 06:32:48 pm
Got a near full 5L bottle of dry foam shampoo that was stored in the shed and came out today to find it was solid like a soft cheese. It's thawed out during the day inside but just want to know if it's still any good?  Thanks

I think most chems once frozen are still ok, but the freezing can separate the ingredients, so once thawed a really good shake should do the trick.
Dave.

I was caught out on Wdnesday morning - dam heater in van didn't work.
As long as they're thawed out slowly, chems are normally okay.

The exception being protector, some encaps and any floor finishes.

They are damaged when frozen.

Our Tracey did a blog post a while back listing products that would be effected. Not a fully comprehensive list but will have some info on there for most users.
