Title: Websites
Post by: john63. on November 30, 2016, 06:39:30 pm
Are websites any good I get most of my work by recommendation ,my sign written van helps and a small amount of Facebook.
Thought website might attract more commercial work.
Still think canvassing for work is best .

Websites are another iron in the fire,.. they're rarely the only thing you need, but they can bring in work.

A lot of potential customers will google you if they get a flyer or see your van - having a website help you to convey the image you want for your company & promote the services that you'd like to expand.

I'm completely biased though, because I build websites!

I've not had sign writing on my pickup for two years and I won't know how many leads it  might have generated. Infact the pickup itself actually lost me customers!
My website is like waiting for a bus, nothing for a while then they all come at once. The same goes for Gumtree I've been advertising on there for over three years and they all seam to come at once.
I've recently had someone build a new website and as I cant find the Google analytics code to send him I don't know if it's catching more visits but I can say I've had nothing in three weeks!
If your happy dropping leaflets/canvassing and it's paying off then do you need the website?
