Has anyone purchased one of these RO systems, hoping to move up from from a 300ro, this should be a better RO to produce more pure than i can with a 300 atm
-
I've got the 500 from Gardiners, chuck the three membranes out and replace with one larger one, seems fine so far.

Obviously you'll need the bigger housing too.

i cant even start to think where to start.
why dosent he just put it all togeather and sll it as a 500 RO. system

Im waiting for WCW to get back to me explaining what my amount of pure will be atm with there 600RO.
atm water leaving my 300 RO is 002. its just taking too long .
-
Dave , can you send a pic give me some idea of finished look, what is your water going in, coming out. my pressures low so id need a booster on. how much pure do you get on a timescale. atm im getting around 210 litres around 6 hours now. if i dont have booster on it comes out of RO around 009

According to WCW on there Resin Calculator page my 25litre bag of Resin will last for 260 weeks, if your pure is coming out around 002-004

What booster pump are you going to use with a 3012 Johnny? You are just buzzing around from one idea to the next.
If you are getting 210 liters in 6 hours then all you need is a large storage tank and you existing unit.
I'm confused! The other day it took you 215 seconds to produce 1 liter of pure with booster pump on, so how can it now take 6 hours to produce 210 liters? That's half as long.

First and foremost, sack off your 3 100gpd membranes and change them to 150's...all of a sudden you have a 450gpd RO for the princely sum of around £90
Whats the pressure after your booster? And do you use a storage tank?
Turn it to around 80psi if its not around there and have it producing into an IBC
Remember, your water production will slow down at this time of year anyway

im just fed up of having the booster pump on , seems all the time, to get my amount of pure for the next day.
i use the aquatic 8800 from purefreedom.
i just thought these 600 RO systems will be more productive for my pure supply.
not too big or too expensive, meaning ill still be able to use my booster pump.
-
the thing is i have just replaced my filters and membranes around 3 months ago.
i was ok untill the cold weather slowed down my production.
-
surelly the 600 RO system would be better than the 450, id be able to sell my 300 ro on. to upgrade
-
You'll be lucky to get £50 for the 300gpd but I guess if it helps
The upgrade from 300 to 450 will be noticable, and of course the 600 will produce more water (its 150gpd more) but if we're going down that road then get yourself a 40/40 and you'll never have a problem again...
(Also going by your figures above, its still going to take around 12-13hours to get an IBC full with te 600gpd, so you need to work out how quickly you need the water)
You've not said if you use a storage tank
-
atm i use 2 x 210 litre water butts
-
with a 4040 whats my tap water going to come out of the 4040 RO before resin. My tap water tds is 148. at the mo its coming out of my 300ro at 002 after 10-15 minutes with booster on which i think is great, saving on resin.

Have a look on eBay at 1000 ltr ibc , I bought one steam cleaned for £40 just down the road from me and he delivered it . Change the filter so it shows 'nearest first' .
That will make your life easier to start with as you'll have more water in storage .

I BOUGHT A 1000 LITRE IBC HOME A YEAR AGO, WHAT A SIZE ON FRONT OF HOUSE, OUR LASS was going to batter me with the frying pan if i didnt get it shifted, ill look into getting a 650 or upright tank, less room consuming
