Elderly customer was fiddling about in the garden picking up leaves (she's 90), finished the top windows and checked behind me to see where she was. :o
Flat on her face on the garden path unable to move. I managed to straddle her (no, not like that) and picked her up holding under her arm pits and carried her back indoors. Got a neighbour to run her to A&E where she was told she'd have to wait for at least three hours!
Popped in on the way home to check on her, broken shoulder ::)roll
Not sure if she tripped over a concrete planter or if she had a turn, probably would have died of hypothermia if it hadn't have happened whilst I was there.

So you broke her shoulder when you picked her up? 8)
I’d be looking out for an insurance claim if I were you.

Sure is, had two die this month already.

don't forget if the local paper get involded get them to take your pic stood next to your van (if sign written )

I had 2 clients on one street, whi had been there since the estate was first built. Both died, one died just before she was 101 and the other died not long after reaching 100.
They both had plenty of stories to tell.
(From a business point of view though, i hate deaths for another reason as well, it takes family ages to argue over will and to sell the house, before you pick the house bk up on ur round)
About 3yrs bk, very similar happened. I was helping a friend on his round (worked with him for 10yrs, once a wk), both trad cleaning. The old dear came bk, looked up at where i was on ladder talking. Next thing i knew she was out cold on floor. Came down ladders, she came round and tried sitting up. Obviously no broken kneck. But we were worried cor her and so sat down behind her n told her to lay back down but rest on me. Bk of head bleeding. Neighbours came out with a blanket and had to wait about 40 mins for ambulance. We were out in sticks. We finally left her in good hands n travelled bk with my top covered in blood. Looked well suspicious when i walked thru door home.
Its good when you can help out like that. Well done Dave. Its especially good though when your not to blame 😀

Well done Dave, it doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened if you weren't there.
I hope the lady and her family show their appreciation for being there to help.
