Has anyone bought a hot water system that's not hot water 😡, it's warm at best . Do you agree that if sold a hot water system it should produce hot water at the brush . The invoice said hot water so can I be upset if it's only warm at best !!!!
-
Didn't you buy a gas heater?
If you can get it to stay fired up it should get very hot.
-
If its too hot it'll crack the glass....
-
The fact of the matter is if you buy hot water and your told it will be hot water then then that's what you should get . I was sold a hot water system not a warm / moderately warm water system

What system have you got?
-
It's a 4. 5 k heater and I've now been told after a year of saying it's not hot water that it won't get hot enough and that I should have been sold a 9 k as that's what gives out hot water £7500 is a lot of money for warmish water

Can't say at the moment but feel I've been mis sold a hot water system
-
Webasto then.
-
why not buy a hot water system and stop being tight . We hate it when custys penny pinch but think nothing of doing it ourselves . You have to speculate to accumulate 😇
Ring a bell ? ;D
-
Can you not read !!! I did buy a hot water system but it's not hot 😡 How much clearer can that be . 7500 pounds , penny pinching , Realy !!!!!
-
I can read yes.
It was the advice you gave to another forum member about a year ago.
http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=200016.msg1753362#msg1753362
As for the water not being hot. You bought the cheaper 4.5kw version. It wont create "hot" water.
If you would have bothered to read that thread or "take part" in the forum. You would have seen that spruce advised the 4.5kw system is about as much use a chocolate fire guard.
Maybe my dry wit is wasted on you.
-
I've never given out any advice on here and I bought what I was told to buy by the company I dealt with . One man system will only require 4.5 k WRONG VERY WRONG !!! I would have paid more if the advice had been better .

no.i use a L10 gas heater and the water can be scalding hot if your want it that hot.(cost me £300).
sell it and get a gas heater.

That Julian Taylor is not me !!!

Found this, does it belong to anyone
;D
-
Yes that was me but that was on Facebook and didn't realise it wa on here as well . Well that's ok as at the time I had just thought about purchasing it . My mistake !! The fact is it's not powerful enough and I was led to believe it was.
-
Julian before buying that very expensive pile of poop you could have asked for advice and I would have told you I use a fastar 8l lpg heater. The one I use it's actualy 16 KW rated output not 4.5 KW like the webasto type you have.
-
I've got a hot water heater for sale if your interested information on equipment for sale yes it's the 9.6 or 9.8 kw one man system with summer winter setting
Full working order with s controller
-
The issue is the 4.5kw will create "hot" water not boiling "hot" i doubt you will have a leg to stand on as when i read the specs for these 4.5kw systems i wasn't impressed with the 4.5kw
My van will be having the 9kw version for a one man operation.
-
Sunshine has got 9 whatever kw one for sale too I believe so they can't be that good after all.
Mind if like throwing money at these type of heater keeping them serviced/working then more fool you
-
They are not as good as gas in my eyes.
I just don't fancy the gas bit hence why i want diesel.
-
Must be something not right with it the slower you run water through it the hotter it will be if you pre heat it into the tank at say 15 on your flow meter the water should get to 60-65 degrees,if you have it on a good working rate at 68-70 it will fluctuate from 35-45 degrees which is way hot enough. If you post a picture of the inside of your cabinet I will show you a trick you can do to get it even hotter it'll only cost you about a tenner but it will invalidate the warranty but I've had mine like it for 6-7 years with no problems.
-
Dodgy battery's will give you heating problems also.
-
Don't believe they are useless if they are setup right and you have good battery's split charged properly they are superb,I had an nightmare due to a badly installed system. I have within the last 6 weeks had all wiring replaced for thicker cabling and the battery's are now sufficiently charging to power the heater so it works to its full potential,if it's bitterly cold the best way to use diesel heaters is to use them as hot as you want on PVC and on minimum on old framed delicate windows. If Windows are puttied in tight they will creek which is giving you a warning the waters to hot,if any pane of glass has a crack in it no matter how small if the water is to hot it will spread the crack the full length or width of the glass.
-
Go ahead
-
Go ahead what you'll need to post a picture if you want that trick,do you want me to come round and fit it for you too lol 😂
-
Take the cover off your cabinet and post a picture.

You wouldn't want to bath in the water i use it would scold you, like i say it can't be working right if it's not as hot as you'd get from your hot tap indoors.

What model boiler have you got and what KW rating is it?
-
I have a 9kw purefreedom isothermal unit and it gets the water lovely and hot even with two users , you have to remember though once it goes through 100 metres of hose and comes out of the jets it will lose a good percentage of that heat, especially this time of year .
Oh and just to ruin your day a bit more i paid £280 secondhand for a broken one and cost me £90 to fit a new pump and worked perfectly! Sorry ;D
-
should have got a gas heater ;D
-
What temperature are you getting?
In my opinion you don't need scalding hot to do a great job.
My water is about 25-35 degrees at the brush head which is just warm to the touch.
Remember that in cold weather thermal shock can happen if you use water 20 degrees higher than the ambient temperature.
So even I'm at risk of cracking glass in this temperature, I've been working in -5 for a few days this week.
-
Utter rubbish hot water is by far better to use and as far as results go it's all been talked about before there isn't and argument comparing the 2 everyone more or less starts with cold.
-
I have had a few of this heater and found the following to be true. The flow of the water through the system will have a dramatic effect of the heat of the water. An L5 will battle to produce hot water with a flow rate of 8 litres per pump if you turned the flow down to say 3 lit. a minute the water would be in the system longer, therefore produce hotter water. I said this many years ago on this forum when we first started this gas water heating . Everyone thought I had flipped. There are many factors that effect the heat and some are just lucky to get the right combination of flow rate and pressure. Unfortunately, some just have the factors wrong and have a bad experience. There is the heat lost between the pump and the brush head which is a major factor as to the heat hitting the glass. That why after four different systems I decided to go without. Breaking glass, failed hose fittings, busting hoses and pumps playing up. Its a lot of crap and temperature loss due to long hoses no thanks its just not worth it.
-
As I've said before the diesel heater will be more efficient and produce hotter water if it has enough power, the best way to keep the water piping hot is to circulate back into the tank on a flow of 15 on the controller try it it almost becomes to hot to use and you do this between jobs or having a tea break. Saying that if you don't do that it will still give you 35-50 at the brush or your heater is not working correctly.
-
Once the hose is filled with water at its optimum temp it should keep producing it differing the odd 10-15 degrees,my hose goes like fresh spaghetti after 10 minutes use and stays like it on every job.
-
Of course it is? They are your posts lol.
Shall i call you on 07932591162 ?
Clever Forum Name, can you please give Julian a ring and apologise to him about the photo you put up of him on the forum?
He says he's going to the police if you don't. I've explained that using images from facebook isn't illegal, but he's adamant it is unless you've permission beforehand.
Regardless, he's angry, been sending me shirty e-mails, wants to meet up with me (for some nefarious reason no doubt) and I think a full and sincere apology from you to him would calm him down.
Thank you. ;D

Haha. Thats is funny indeed.
Just imagine if someone went onto his facebook profile and saved the image of him or imagine WORST still a photo of a loved one. For example enjoying a meal out. Then just imagine they posted other photos of this loved one on adult picture sites. Imagine that. Disgusting. >:(
It's a crazy world what you can do with information found online.

Guys enough's enough.....let's just put this one to rest so other members can enjoy the forum and use it as it's meant to be used.
