I have not been able to work out what the differences between the 2 specs.

We use ours with a TM no problem at all. Unsure which spec I have.

Why don't you just phone the supplier and ask them which one you should purchase ?

Yep have rung several..... apparently t/m version has a circular type device to adjust the pressure and I was advised that it needs 300 to 500psi to operate well, wheras portie is not so adjustable( and less expensive!)
When using my drimaster, or detail tool I clean at 200psi from t/m and never had a problem   certainly never close to 500psi..perhaps  I should try it     one of the great suppliers was suprised at this when I asked Him for his thoughts...  he disgreed! So slightly confusing/conflicting  advice....experience from users trumps pro advice...generally!
Need to get it sorted though...ideally want to use tool at 200psi witht/m and aalso with portie at perhaps up to 200psi... Simon. Any suggestions !?

The only difference is that the t/m version has an adjustable flow valve which is beneficial to a certain extent but your not going to be out of sorts if your running a t/m and have the portable version. If your not sure what you've got - as a rule of thumb - the t/m version has a light grey hide a hose vac pipe whereas the portable version is dark grey

Hi Simon
I've got the sapphire with adjustable flow that I use with an Airflex Storm. Personally I like the flexibility of psi and flow, but for most cleans I only use 175-200 psi. I believe you're local to me so if you want to come and have a look your welcome!  Dave.

I have the sapphire with the adjustable flow valve. It is necessary even with a porty imo as you can fine tune the amount of flow. This is absolutely necessary to get the sapphire to work properly.
