Hi I just got s new tank (500l) when I open the lid it looks like a gas is coming out , like when you opening a fizzy drink
Any idea why that is?
Thanks

Doesn't your tank have a vent on it (usually on the lid)?
-
No it's sealed , should I drill through it to make a vent
-
Tank needs a vent to allow air in, to replace the water taken out
-
Drill a small diameter hole, no more than 5 mm at the base of the tank. This will let just the right amount of air in as the tank empties of water, which prevents a vacuum forming.
Usually 2” from the bottom is about right.
Good luck ;)

At the base of the tank?? Do you mean the lid?
