Were is best site to get top end gortex boots, jacket etc. Sick of boots letting in water after a couple of months use, looking light weight gortex jacket to wear over my fleece. Mrs is getting me then for xmas, so make sure there nice and expensive ;D ;D

You could try Cotswold or blacks, who is cheaper I don't know but I have:
Brasher (now berghaus) hillmaster goretex boots (warm, comfy and waterproof)
Jack wolfskin goretex trousers and jacket
I don't use gloves so can't help you there.
I've always found that having great boots makes all the difference, if my feet are warm and dry then I'm good.
However I'm in the office permanently now

dont you think that pure water quickly deteriates stitching ruins leather I have a pair of gortex boots cost me 140 quid lasted about 4 or 5 months what you have to consider is wear factor on the soles you may get a good pair of waterproof boots but the soles wear out catch twenty two

i always buy berghaus GTX light explorer boots.you can pick them up for less than £100 online.they last me around 18 months before they start letting in water.comfortable, light and keep feet dry and warm.

sprayway rain pants are good.very waterproof.north face or berghaus jackets, showa 377 gloves.
TKMAXX usually have some good cheap ski/waterproof pants for when it gets really cold.i also have some black rigger boots for working in the snow.

I've bought expensive boots
They seem to let in water far to quickly
I now pay £24.99 for Dunlop safety boots from sports direct
They last 4 or 5 months, keep you dry
Then I buy the next pair
Cheaper than rip off expensive ones for me

your still spending roughly the same amount of money(if not a bit more) than me buying berghaus ones at under £100. ;D

Berghaus for me!
Dazmond recommended them.
Done 3 or 4 years never let the water in.
Work, charity walks, training walks and sons football.
Just going to replace as have worn out the soles.

I have worn brasher, berghaus, meindl n quecha boots. The quecha boots from decathlon were the best for me i feel. I am heavy on the ball area of my foot n this is where i wear boots out quick. Sadly these boots no longer made. Tjey cost about 120. I have berghaus jacket n use berghaus deluge trousers which are breathable nncost about 40 quid.

Forgot to say,
If you wear them in dry weather they'll last all year

I paid £75 for a pair that lasted 6 months
