In the motor trade we all knew that car names given could be positively accepted in one country and have negative connotations in another. So vehicle names were changed as necessary.
I often wondered if the same thing applied in our industry. I've found it thanks to Smurfs Rhino link. Doff Steam Cleaning generator/pressure washer is it. It even has its own page on his site. So I gather its a quality machine used by professionals in this industry. I know nothing about them, never heard of them and until this morning have never seen one.
However, they would definitely have to change the name of that machine in South Africa as in South African popular slang "doff" is the ultimate expression of stupidity, thick, no brains etc.
