Evening all,
Probably a real long shot but here goes.....
So I was giving my Ninja a service yesterday and I thought it was about time I address the leak I had from the brass pressure control numpty.
I bought a new part that hopefully has uploaded which cost £18.00 from Ashbys which seemed very steep considering it's just the black washer/seal that is needed.
Anyway what I thought was going to be a 5 minutes job turned into me getting very angry as the piston just wouldn't insert and after the best part of an hour trying the washer finally went in but split!
I now can't use the machine and go to work tomorrow as I need to order another part.
My question is does anyone have or know where I can buy these washers/water seals instead of having to buy the piston each time when it is only the small piece of rubber that is actually needed!
Thanks,
A very stressed Rich.

Did you use any grease?

To be honest no I didn't at first as not having had to ever do this before I wasn't aware that I needed to.
After struggling for a while I managed to find a video on you tube where an Amercian chap greased it up first with a Teflon super lube and if by magic it just simply popped in first time!
I think that as I was trying to it for a while the seal expanded a little so by the time I used some WD40 lithium grease there was no chance hence why it split I guess :'(

I like this for O ring lube.

Thanks for the link Dennis.
So bottom line is the seal needs to be greased up first.
In regards to the actual air seals does anyone know if and where these can be purchased from instead of having to buy the kit each time?
