Am going to tackle a smallish render cleaning job ( green algaes ) for an existing client.
My first softwash job of this sorts as I don't want to pressure wash. My plan was to apply cleaning solution via wfp with fan jets, scrub as required leave 30 mins to an hour or so and rinse off at low pressure.
But what's the best chemical to use that I can source and get delivered in the next few days?.
Black wash appears ideal (although I wont pretend to know) but I believe they are based in Ireland and delivery takes some time.
Any advise would be appreciated (on chems and methods)
Thanks Craig

Blackwash takes 4 working days normally delivered to the UK mainland but best check with them first before ordering.

Thanks for that info.
Can you advise on method as described being sensible approach?
Craig.

How many of you use benz blackwash and how good is it n does it work on pvc and conservatory roofs from what I have seen on video s they spray it on leave it for quite a while then rinse of with water.how safe is it on glass and how safe is it with pets

Best take a look at the benz vids https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUx8UxFXUxeBCeQPup3rK2Q/videos?view=0&shelf_id=0&sort=dd

You can use a wfp brush no problem and gently adjitate the render surface as you apply it at the same time. I doing so can also help reduce the spray drift too.
Rinse wise will take a lot longer to rinse down properly just using a wfp pump than using an outside tap. Quickest method still to rinse down larger areas is to use a pressure washer with the correct jet fitted so you get a high volume of water at a safe low pressure so not to damage the surface.

Do you use it smurf

Yes I use Benz Blackwash and also buy Benz Biocidal wash too.

After saying there is nothing stopping you buying sodium hypochlorite (hypo) locally and making your own softwash mix. As after all blackwash is just 10% hypo with a soap and scent added that is diluted down to the required strength.
-
Do you use it on con roofs and facias n gutters and is it as simple as spray on leave for a while then wash off without scrubbing because that's the way it shows it works
-
Yes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqvABSlIBv4
However you can also use a wfp with a wfp brush to apply and agitate if you want but defo no scrubbing is required as the chem does all the work. Being what is in effect a weak 1-2% bleach mix will bring plastics back to white and kills any lichen, moss, algae spores etc at the same time too with very little effort.
Mind if you are cleaning say plastics above a dirty render house wall and not included that in the job you may end up with clean streaks down the wall. lol

Where do you purchase yours n how much is it .oh and what's it like on glass because I used to use some cleaner once and if it was sunny it left stains on the windows

Anyone got a phone number for benz .I've emailed them but no reply

Benz also sell 2 jet nozzles that you can attach to your wfp. Should give you quicker and better coverage with blackwash. They area about £50 for blackwash you use size 10.

I have a converted pole with a jet on it got it of a mate who got it from a guy who makes these jets for benz soft wash products good piece of kit

Any one recommend a soap and sent to add to bleach .
Used cheap Tesco bleach on some paving slabs that were covered in black spots after trying pressure washing , caustic soda which did nothing . Bleach gave best result not 100% but customer was happy but cannot stand the smell .

You need to buy a batch of hypo and dilute to a suitable application. My recommendation is to use the search feature on here or look into further threads for more information.
Im not trying to be funny, but my pressure washing results and knowledge has grown immensely due to this site and added research etc, that i trully appreciated. But i appreciate it more due to time i put into finding out.

Not being funny but thought this forum was to help each other out sorry I must be wrong

My comment was helpful and only last week this was discussed in full. You can scroll down the feeds or use the search feature on here and it explains it all, esp a post by smurf.
(This question is raised often, very often. So to safe repeating the secrets given many times over, ive suggested how beneficial it is to search for the answer and unless im wrong, youve taken it the wrong way.

Thanks for that paul I'll probably invest in those after todays test run.
Results were pretty good and to my expectations except for a few very dark brown / reddish areas on render which certainly faded and I am hoping they'll break down and fade off further over the next couple of days as has been suggested.
