Title: Enterprise Van Insurance.
Post by: CleanClear on October 18, 2016, 08:20:39 pm
Anyone else been affected by them going into liquidation ? I got an email from the Broker (quoteline direct) in August to tell me they where going into liquidation, but i'm still insured and the FSA will pay out any claims etc...

I've now recieved another email telling me the Court date for the Liquidation is 26th of this month and i'll have no cover after then. I paid my policy up in full, due March i think. Apparently i will get a rebate of approx  £200,, within hopefully 90 days. They can arrange alternative cover for my, up until my due expiration date for £245 to be paid up full.

My mate, who as it turns out was also with them, and pays by DD, appears to have been transferred over to Autonet and has no such problem apparently.

Looks like i'd of been beter off paying it on the monthly.

Hey mate

I am affected by this as well LOL I paid by DD and had about 3-4 repayments to complet full 12 months
Obviously since 26th October they have cancelled my insurance therefore I bought new one elsewhere.

Now they send me a letters and SMS that I need to pay off direct debit arranged via van inurance to finance company called closer brothers or something like that Lol

Why would I need to pay for a service which I don't receive anymore.

Any advice much appreciated!

Would seem that you have a payment plan through a finance company, check your paperwork, if this is the case they
will have paid the insurance company the full amount on your behalf so you will now owe them the money.
This means you will still be liable for the full payment but may be entitled to a rebate from the insurance company similar to CleanClear.

Thanks Sean. That's what my current position is. Well I can't understand how the hell should I be paying for the service/goods I don't receive anymore. Obviously insurance has been ceased by the insurer....

Simon you should of recieved a few letters from the Liquidator. I had to pay £250 to continue my policy with Quoteline direct. I continued with them mainly to hold onto that years no claims. I recieved a cheque from Financial Services last week for £200. Compensation for cancelling my policy. You should of had your money back by now ?

I was in same situation, I was with enterprise but through quote line direct. I renewed with these and ended up £300 cheaper.

In the letter it says I will be refunded £138 but they don't know wen I will get it
