Our numatic has done that in the past there is a solid machined wheel with cogs that a pin fits into that will be corroded and worn just needs  replacing.

hi
i have had this , it is like a toothed pin that synchs into the cog in side, it has stripped its teeth th cant lock.

sometimes it only has stripped its teeth on one side and you can turn it round, as they are not cheap for what they are.

cheers
john

As John says. The cog is just in the end where the 3 bolts are. Sometimes you get a rust buildup which prevents the teeth biting. Just undo the 3 bolts and knock it out then give it a good clean off with a wire brush. turn it round so fresh cogs are inline with the teeth. You'll have to get someone to pull the lever whilst you force it back in.
