Title: Warning Over Window Cleaning Scam In Huddersfield
Post by: Forum Admin on September 22, 2016, 09:53:57 am
Police have issued a warning about a fraudster who is trying to con people out of money in Huddersfield by claiming he is collecting window cleaning payments for his father.

The man got away with cash after tricking one resident in the Lockwood area yesterday. The offence came to light when the genuine window cleaner called asking for payment.

There are reports of similar incidents in the area and police believe others may not yet have come to light.

The fraudster is thought to be in his twenties, 5ft 8ins tall, white and of average build. He has dark coloured short hair and stubble. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and blue jeans.

A while ago I wasn't well and my wife offered to do some collecting for me. I got her to take a picture of us both she could show my customers so they were happy handing over their money. I was shocked at the number of customers who handed over their money without skiing for any ID.
