What forms of advertising did you try, what worked and what results have you had?

Basically, anything I could get my hands on , yell.com , doctors surgery TVs , newspapers, magazines, costs up to £500 a month but it brings in the jobs

My friend has used him 3 times. Work is good but doesn't replace drop outs like others.

I think it's 3 times the rate but he does extra things like putting work onto cleaner planner direct.

Canvassed work with a canvassing company is just taking a punt like you would on a race or a football match, it will either win or it wont for you. The canvassing company only cares that the customer stays for the amount of cleans that is being charged to reduce the amount of refund customers they have to replace.
The best way is to not rely on these companies and to do it yourself or source canvassers your self. I have never been short of help regarding canvassing and building up work without the need to pay X2/X3etc etc in fact i even used to hire us out builing for others and charging X2 and did really well out of it but had to give it up due to running my own business. Everyone has a mate who's school leaver son or daughter wants to earn some money or a friend who is out of work that you could take with you whilst you work to knock throughout the day to earn some extra money or that retired type of friend who wants to get a little beer money.
At X3 you would want a 3 clean guarantee and if that isnt being provided then walk away as you could pay out 6k for 2k of work and lose 1k of it! Your best buying an established grand of work for X5 that will be regular and more reliable.
If using a canvassing company is the only way then Whizz Bizz is about your best bet as he does deliver the fruit when needed. But as said find your own who you can pay a clean or £10 a customer for.

If you can get into an area first then that's your patch.  The UK is my patch, so get off it.

Yes you rip your shirt off, puff out your chest, and the person who can beat their chest with their fists the loudest wins the
contract.
It helps if you have hairy knuckles. lol.
