My old aqua-dapter just broke the other day but when I went on their website it doesnt seem to be available anymore. Now they have the Univalve instead.
Anyone tried it?
Whats your review?
Thanks in advance

Get one ;)
Wayyy better than the aquadapter.

What rock have you been living under ? Lol.
It's a REAL game changer.
-
yep.brilliant piece of kit.no problems with them at all up to now. :)

Very good indeed. You will need to change pole hose to low stretch version ie blue one or hot water one(these two I know personally work - some else might recommend alternatives) . Get the small plastic adapter to stop hose coming off during tug action or get piece of thick plastic and drill 7.5mm hole.

Thanks all. My old aqua dapter has been going for years so never had to look at getting a replacement. .... until now. Will also order the low stretch hose as MartinW recommended but in the order it asks whether I want 7-9mm or 9-11mm o rings. Which size should order?
-
It's tight but I went for the 7-9mm
No issues

Noticed tonight that Gardiner's long awaited twist valve/tap is now available. Might be worth a try if you don't use a swivel

Had them since Saturday. I actually like it.

Prefer it to uni-valve?
Also how much of an improvement is it on the old aquatap?
I think the biggest issue with the mk1 aquatap was that it was either to loose or to tight. It was difficult to get the sweet spot right and even if you did it never seemed to stay that way for long.

Used for a whole two days lol so it's still early days!
Down stairs it can be a joy as it can be hard to pull on hose down some sides of alleys etc so that beats uni valve.
It was hot yesterday and it was nice in the morning and afternoon. I thought it may become quite loose.
Where this will be a big improvement (for me) is doing solar panels. As on a 45 ft stretch the univalve doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe that's the hose I am using.
It will be ideal for 40-55/60ft work. I wouldn't say higher as you need gooseneck a usually higher.

That's strange. I've been checking every day and it only went active for me yesterday. Oh well!
I've ordered one to try out. I can see the benefits. However, I like my swivel so I may only end up using it on my longer pole where the swivel isn't as useful for me

Why not a straight forward on/off valve at the bottom of the pole.....near where your hands would be?

They were given away free at the window cleaning show for the first 100 people who attended. Just one more thing mark arranged to help the industry.

The patent now belongs to gardiners.....i believe

This is disappointing Clever Forum Name. I was sure I was one of the first 100 at the show - no gooseneck valve for me 😟. I am taking it they were on the grippatank stand ?
