Saw presentation at carpet cleaners carnival on above and wondered if any of you guys are using these products and there efficacy, ie do they work! simon
-
I've been using it for, probably, ten years. And it works very well.
-
Aren't these being banned shortly ?
-
Think that's more to do with silver you can find a brief but concise explanation about colloidal cleaning here
https://eco2000.com.au/colloidal-cleaners/
-
Thanks for reply, what do you mean by the term silver, please. Simon
-
It's the medical use of colloidal silver as a health benefit there are calls for it to be banned in the EU
https://nccih.nih.gov/health/silver
-
thank you for that.Simon
-
They do work on light soiling anything heavy they struggle. But still too much hanging about for me.

What he fails to point out in his explaination blurb is that the terms colloid and micelles are formed by all detergents .... not just the plant juice hes pushing .
Google it yourself , these are basics in all sorts of chemistry , not just detergency
eg http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.ie/2010/04/surfactant-chemistry-micelles.html
The silver would have nothing to do with the plant detergent ...more confusion
-
I'm not "pushing"anything just offering an explanation of colloidal cleaning. The silver reference was in answer to his question about the banning.

Not you :) don't take offence , I mean whoever wrote the text in the link ...is describing a process common to most cleaning products ....as distinct from describing what (if anything) is unique to the plant derived surfactant ....
-
No offence taken 😊😊

Can I ask what product you used and if you heated it up to cut down the dwell time wait?
The picture below are from an Incinerator Plant where the upstairs carpets get trashed by workers coming into the offices. This is thick protein at it's best. Removed with Colloidal Cleaner 5-10 minute dwell
-
Yes i apply it hot, which one have you used there.
-

Or the carpet seam in the doorway in the after photo..... not there in the before ;)
-
Ahh i've been sussed out! I was up all night editing photos and photo shopping pictures to make them look good! Or could it be the area BEYOND THE DOOR is the starting point for the photo. Best way to show the end result is to show a partial cleaned bit (but there again that has been photo shopped and edited about 50 times because I don't have anything better to do for 5 hours :) :) :)

Hi Gary,
Results look great,
Is there a strong odour upon finishing?
Regards
Jen
-
Thank you Gary I appreciate those photos and and your time and effort. Simon
-
Hi Jen,
Great part of it is, product has no odour. No phosphates, Petroleum based solvents, Peroxides or VOC's
-
Gary
It wasn't a slight on your integrity ,
It was a statement in general terms about all before and after photos .
-
Hi Neil,
Not a problem, although there are some people who love to snipe and have a dig.
Trouble is taking pictures in venues that bad, you don't want to walk on the floor to start with, never mind at the end! so we left connecting door closed.
-
Which one you using Gary, is it M Power
-
It will be the one Gary sells.
-
Lol, don't know him. All becomes clear, just like the carpet :)

don't really understand what becomes clear? The question to you was what products were you using, as you stated they only work on light soiling. I was interested in what you were using to suggest colloids only work on light soils. I am not promoting or suggesting any products. Unfortunately just like the pictures, someone has to read something else into it and twist it....
