Picked up new system last week. Only just so a few minor teething problems as we both get used to each other but so far so good, lovely using hot water after 5 years on cold, feels like putting your hands back in a hot bucket without actually getting wet! Roll on winter!
The other big change is moving on from DIY. Im not knocking it and i don't even agree with the old 'hot water cleans better than cold' nonsense but it certainly feels better, brush glides better, cleans quicker and supple hosing, no pole hose coiling up as much as it used to either.
New issues are..gone to fixed reels in van and i do seem to get slacker hosing on the reel, trying to be more careful not over pulling out etc and guiding back on tighter but also caused a kink today by overlapping a slack piece of hose and as more supple it just squashed it and therefore no water. Definitely beats lifting reel in and out of van though and nowhere near as knackering!
Great team at Concept 2o and what a lovely looking machine, given me a huge sense of pride to see it and one i now feel proud to show it off to anyone that will ask (not that it happens much though)
-
May I ask how much?
Got any pics?
-
Will add some tomorrow. I'd rather not discuss cost, all i will say its second hand but looks brand new with mostly new parts apart from a few fittings the only giveaway was the faded sticker on the RO housing.
-
Gas?
-
Gas?
Yes it is.

thanks for the picture,
are those tanks not baffled? where is the gas bottle? can the the tanks be lifted out? or are they secured down?
not knocking your set up but set aside concept20's sales pitch of its premium product you can see the set up is still basically a tank or 2 with a pump and a gas heater in a metal frame with a cover on the front, nothing that cannot be replicated and improved with ease DIY, I was told by someone that the concept20 heater is just a repackaged cointra cob-5 avaliable online for under £200

No not baffled but twin tank and minimal movement tbh. Tank is under chassis.
Regarding your DIY vs their system, I say show me a better one. Of course it's basically an improved DIY, aren't all pro systems? If only we all had the same time and resources as manufacturers we'd all have one.

Looks very nice Fin ;)

I certainly hope so as it would certainly look a little embarrassing having to ask for problem solving on here!
Thanks for the thumbs up chaps :)
-
I use hot all year round just because I can...I'm sure you will too ;D
-
The frame heats up as well doesn't it ?
-
Are you on the pop damo ::)roll
Myself I've had one or two Kraken shots so might end up getting my worms in a mucking fuddle ;D

What are the pipes going into the frame then ?

If it only adds one degree of comfort I'd chuck it away - you want at least thirty of them.
-
Your eyesight must be better than mine as I see no pipes going into the frame bud.
Mind after saying that my blood must be 70% proof by now so don't take any notice from me. ;D
-
Two silver pipes coming from the floor unless it's the LPG tanks?
Seen one in the flesh and it looked the frame is heated ?
-
Might be some sort of radiant van heater for all I know bud?
-
Nice looking machine mate. As long as it pleases you then that's all that matters

nice system m8 i luv my l5 heater ill never use cold again cheep to run and makes the day so much easer even if u just have the water set at warm i set mine so it just melts bee pollon in a few seconds if u hold the water jet on it 8) luv the hot water i ran out of gas the other week and hated it ;D

I'm surprised how cheap it is tbh, i work 9-6 and i used about £4 ish after 3.5 days. As the hot water has a return to tank set up i have been turning boiler off at about 3-4pm and just use the remaining warm water left in tank which works well at the moment (winter might be a bit different though).
It speeds up the actual job nicely on birds mess, pollen, snails. Also did a conny roof yesterday which i would usually use tfr on but just went with hot and it saved so much time, no more scrubbing for ages where moss had been sitting.
-
i think i use about £2 a day in gas but i dont have a return to tank tho just cold in tank then throu l5 to hose real i likle the sound of ur set up tho as it should stop everything freezing in winter as the tank should keep inside of van warm ect

I have two concept 2o systems , which have given me great service for over seven years. Julie and Carl offer all the help and support and more could not recommend nicer people.
-
I'd be very interested in a price for that not the exact price but within the nearest 1000 would be good,I never realised they used that kind of heater it doesn't look a lot different to some DIYs I've seen using L5 type style setups. I'd hate to hear that you'd spent anywhere near 5k upwards for that system.

Same here.
A ball park figure would be nice? I can't really find an email address or phone number to find out. I use immersion heaters but it's always nice to look at options.
-
why not tell everybody how much it cost you?"you d rather not discuss cost" ::)roll.it might help other window cleaners come to a decision/budget?
-
I've never understood people not saying about price he's obviously negotiated price with them so if you were to call them and quote what they'd done for someone else they would have to do the same for you, they also just use run of the mill upright 250s non baffled tanks and the plastic fittings on the floor to isolate the water are cheap. Good luck to you but no where near the same quality as ionics thermopure system.
-
The guy is happy with his system and what he paid for it, that's all that matters. I don't blame him for not wanting to divulge what he paid for it, he would be shot down in flames by the DIY enthusiasts.
-
Honestly, you share a system, a few detailed pics and get people jumping on your case because of choices over privacy, trying to knock your system by comparing it to Ionics etc etc.
It's no wonder that (concept 2o or Ionics for that matter) don't come on here.
Why don't you call them up yourselves if you are that interested i'm sure they will give you a similar costing and share the information (& correct components) you want to know.
-
From £97 a month

they don't use run of the mill baffled tanks. they have their own design of tanks
-
To me they just look like 2 250ltr upright tanks I'd hate to think you were charged 1000s for it,someone local to me has one he has had lots of trouble with it over he time he's had it.

So you asked the question regarding price in an earlier post only because you know of one person who's had trouble with theirs ??? Within roughly 5 miles of my house i know 5 firms running around 10 vans with concept systems. All happy bunnies.

Bit pointless putting pictures on here showing your new system when your not prepared to say about the cost of it really, they've been around for years most of us know what they look like why not say. You've been given a discount IMO that you are not prepared to disclose on here,up until very recently they were supplying there systems with 1/2" hose which kinked forever in a day has there been any other changes to them I know a few years ago they cost loads of money for one of there systems.

Of course it's discounted, I've already said its second hand! READ the post.
Not all would have seen the Concept system which is why I posted and also pride in after 20 years of WC finally having a system I am proud of.
Price wise I have already been polite enough to ask for privacy..so my final response to your persistence is...mind your own f***** business.

If you bought a car , took pictures, showed a load of guys down the pub, told them how good it was..... What question do you think is gonna follow..???..(£££)

If you had already answered the question you wouldn't expect the same person to carry on asking the same question though would you. :-\

it's business

for how much they charge you would think they would put a baffled tank in there,

It was an example you child . Why would you start a topic up about how great your system is , show pictures and the not say the price . It's obvious people are going to be interested , so it's a straight forward question 🙄

it was a bad example wasn't it comparing a conversation on a business forum to a conversation with your mates down the pub

I'd like proof it's baffled speak to Neil at plastic water tanks the conversation you'll have about baffling water tanks will be an eye opener because there's hardly any out there that do it properly,I've never seen a correctly baffled clear baffled tank like in the picture. The new ioninc tanks I believe have incorporated correct baffling these days they are almost identical to the ones Neil supplies honeycombed throughout from base to the top of the tank.

I've pointed this out several times, but "salesmen" insist that wyvale tanks are the best!!
Good post mate

1000ltr IBC tanks and all of the other whyvale tanks are simply meant for storage only in situe not in transit,I think most of us get confused because at the start of WFP all suppliers used this type of tank incorporated with there systems. Those tanks are 100% not baffled in any way a 1000 or 500 ltr bucket would be a better example of them, you drive a van with a baffled tank and then drive one with an un baffled tank a few miles down the road will prove my point along with pulling up at the traffic lights. Close your eyes for 30 seconds it'll feel like your crossing the channel on the ferry, just simply ring Neil and say is that right the above tanks are baffled is that right, for the next 10 minutes you'll get an explanation of why there not along with a huge amount of bad launguage lol.

Try opening your eyes and just maybe you'll read that I said they weren't baffled in the first place!. :o
-
Oh right sorry I didn't rear it properly obviously, there's only one reason they don't supply correctly baffled tanks with there systems and this goes for all other suppliers it's like everything it's all down to cost. A 500ltr tank intended for WFP would be at least 3 times the cost of a standard storage tank, but then again you'd struggle to charge much for something that's not intended to be on board a vehicle carrying a large amount of fluid. A correctly baffled tank internally is the same system used for fire engines, honeycombed throughout therefore safe on cornering and under braking.

A cracking system fin. I have one also although I am selling it shortly. The only reason is I've upgraded my van so I'm selling van also as a complete setup.
No where near ionics quality? I beg to differ. No where near the price either. Ionics are very very good systems don't get me wrong.
Personal preference!
The heater is not £200 either. It's £650 with the flu.
Far cheaper than diesel also. And instant!
Again it's personal preference. No need to knock!
-
I just hope you don't get a gas leak next to those leisure batteries because there is your source of ignition.
does it come with a gas safety certificate by a gas safe registered engineer?
-
which gas heater do they use? Does it have a 20 min timer?
