Title: Machine dead
Post by: clarkson on September 03, 2016, 09:08:57 am
hi all
My yanmar is dead .  It has electric start but absolutely nothing . Battery is charged  I have taken switch of and tried  touching  wires together nothing . There is an inline fuse but replaced that.

If it was starter motor it would try or click I would have thought.  Solenoid maybe?

Next step is to use the pull start but 11hp diesel from cold is a nightmare to start.

Hi
Yes it doesBut it's not trying and failing to start it's just dead, like silent.

pretty sure it's electrical , traced all the wiring it looks like it's connected where it should be.
