This video is extremely helpful.  I have had many problems removing o clips in the past.  Perfect timing as i have 2 univalves which i need to take o clips off tomorrow, so will try this method!

I agree, very useful.

I'd always used a hammer on the top of the crimps to split the O-clip, but this isn't possible when removing the hose from the spindle of the hose reel.
