That is another good reason why you should charge a lot more for a one-off/first clean as all she wanted doing was the frames & sills and still have a proper cleaner clean the glass  ;D

Best ones are when they say "can you give me a price to just do the top windows as I can do the bottom windows myself."

I have one that wants tops only done., as she apparently does bottoms herself. I charged  her the price for the whole house and got the job. Win win for me. I explained water would drop on bottom windows hoping I would get the whole house. So now I get paid full price for half the job....lol  :)

I think the reason she wanted them done every 2 months is on my visit  do all frames windows .the other guy  as a follow up clean or she aint got the courage to bin him.

When i was trad cleaning, a young single mum asked me to start cleaning her windows. At the time, there was a much older chap who seamed to be very hit n miss cleaning windows.
Anyways, did her windows for a couple of years and on one particular day i went to do them (tho i clean majority on her street) and this other chap was cleaning them. I saw her about it and basically she didnt have heart to stop the other guy. Shes a lovely lass but too kind and doesnt like confrontations. So i told her i'ld make it easier for her, i'll stop.

Many you will find are very loyal to their long term window cleaner even when they say his does a terrible job but we have used him for years.

Its also to do with the amount of window cleaners that come and go, better to stick with a crap cleaner
than risk ending up with nobody, that said most people aren't really that bothered about perfection when it come to
having their windows cleaned wfp is proof of that.

Have to say this type of customer annoys me thankfully there's not to many of them, agree the terms of job, once the jobs done (usually dirty windows) the renegotiation starts, I now hold fast and stick to what was agreed or dump them as there usually trouble customers, as i say not to many of them, do hate them though.
