??? ??? ???Help please.
Ive been setting my shurflo pump and controller up to work alongside my son, This was bought a year ago from wintecs but i never set it up because he didnt want to do this work then.So it was stored away under bed.
Set up today exactly as it should be, Controller comes on , so power coming from battery.
Pump showing no power at all. piped up for waterflow from tank.
Water coming from tank , but nothing going into pump as its not got any power..
Any sugestions please.
How do i check if pump is OK. ???

have you tried just testing the pump by its self connected to the leisure battery to see if the pump is in working order?

Doesn't matter, its 12V, either wire to any terminal.

oh dear oh dear, surelly the pump would be ok stored in doors, never used.
all getting ready to use the two man setup tomorrow. this is a setback..
it would be fine if there was a genuine reason, but no power from the pump at all is mystyfying.

There is a genuine reason, you just haven't found it yet.

well i'm no electrics expert so maybe best till someone better comes along. in the past ive just used the 2 wires from the pump (positive n negative) and touch the terminals of the leisure battery quickly just to see if the pump works, making sure you get wires the right way round. Hard to see without pics.
What controller are you using?
i have the full varistream wiring instructions if you need them.

ive wired it up exactly the same as my other shurflo + controller,
spring, easy annalogue flow controller
Blue - Black,
Brown - Red
from controller to pump
Red and Black from Controller connected to Battery
Power coming to controller, all lit up

also if using a varistream controller you dont need to use the pressure switch on the pump.

The pump powers up when + / - wires from pump are connected to battery,
So the pump is ok, now to find the reason why its not powering up from controller

sounds something simple like a loose connection or possibly got the wires the wrong way round then.

I when you say no power, do you mean its literally not switching on?
If you've tried it straight to battery and it kicks in, and you're sure the controller is ok, the only problem it can be is the wiring from controller to pump (do you have a fuse in bewtween bat and controller? If not and you've cross wired, you may have blown its internal fuse)
Make sure you've got proper connections (connect earth wires first)
Maybe try connecting the wires via bare copper first and try it out, if it works then join with your crimp connectors

if the controller comes alight then surelly its connected up to the battery. i took ad old fuse connector off an old pump wire and replaced it onto my red wire from battery to controller.
surelly this would have no effect on pump not powering up, new fuse 7.5 inserted

My digi controller switches on when the earth wire hasn't been connected, just reads error...didn't mean that something wasn't wrong
Using an old fuse holder wont effect anything, may give you a crap connection if its old but should be ok
Did you try connection the pump/controller wires direct to see if it worked?
And you didn't say if it was not switching on at all or just not pumping...?
(I've just read you're using the spring analogue, i've only used the varitream analogue or spring digital so cant tell you what happens if its duff sorry...)

What colour light is on the controller? Check the connectors on all the wires. Analogue has the pressure switch wired in. Digital controllers bypassed the pressure switch in the past. Modern controllers are protected from pole reversal, I don't know how, could be an internal fuse.
Have you tried turning the dial up and callibrating the unit?

ive removed from the van now, ill test it with another battery , and a bucket of water, and double check the wireing
The red and GREEN light stays on.
ill connect the pump wires onto the battery to see if it sucks the water up , and comes out the other side hose.

its a bit dark but this is the controller, yes its wired correctly. ill double check it out over the weekend when its phing down
