LOL, the country is full of shiners trying their best to make this job as complicated as possible, that should be a hit with them.
-
Seen it before and I'm still confused ;D
-
Holy carp! I thought algebra was complex. Now I have to wrestle with an extendible variable modulus in three parts. Or is that mini + a -b + c ÷ mc2 = £∞
-
Best vid he did was actualy a demo trying to assemble all the bits outside on a building. Now that was good for a laugh but I think he pulled the vid now as it was so painful to see him struggling.
-
No matter how much stick he gets I take my hat off to him as he seems so passionate at what he is trying to achieve in his new innovations it’s a good thing to see in a supplier all the same.

Couldn't agree more, the problem is that a lot of pole designers/suppliers have given up on trying to better the Gardiner products and are trying to win custom with silly gimmicks.
I mean the Mk1 smart clamp was probably the worst clamp ever to hit the market and not one supplier used that to their advantage allowing Alex plenty of time to replace it with the mk2 without losing any custom.
-
Perry has an inherent likability about him, I think it's the ridiculous accent ;D
It's only a matter of time before he hits on a genuine innovation, this however, is not it.
-
I'll bet Alex was sat watching that video and openly laughing his ass off! ;D ;D ;D

The mk1 smart clamp was nowhere near being the worst clamp ever , it took a little tweaking , alex listened and improved it ........thats why he leads the field , he listens .
I have an original clx with non smart clamps , the clamps are truly awful , the mk1 smart clamps were a big improvement .

Brodex anyone?

I used a Brodex 18ft pole for over a year. I can now juggle two fully grown African Rhinos.

Its lovely how perry is trying to save the hard working americans money. On paper his idea is great. Buy the one pole which you can pull apart for different heights and weights. Dont spend on many poles when just the one will do!
In reality its just too much faff and even on one of perrys videos, he confuses himself.
The reality is, if he wants to save the hard working window cleaners money whilst ensuring quality, all he needs say is......... "buy gardiners' poles" for perhaps same price as a reach it mini, you can buy 2 or 3 quality carbon poles for the different heights your working and still have change.!

Name another clamp that had problems from new like floppy leavers and screws that where forever coming loose ?
Yes there are other clamps that cant take the same abuse but you didn't get problems straight out of the wrapping.
Fact is the only reason I and many others still use a Gardiner pole is because even though the mk1 smart clamp was rubbish
there was nothing to compete when it came to replacing a pole.

The Brodex was a horrendous pole and even though the clamps looked cheap and primitive they never gave any
bother which is more than could be said for the mk1 smart clamp.
-
Reach-it mini +A +B +C anyone? Apart from Lee & Wagga ::)roll
I must say I do like the concept of the mini though all the same as I like to use removable sections myself if I'm honest and have been doing for many years. 80 20 rule you know ;D ;D

Eh??
All my poles were Brodex, the clamps were f***ing terrible!!

4' 27secs was enough for me.

The hardest thing with innovation is the cost of it!! We can make carbon fibre tube sections easily, the hardest part is the clamps!! You have to design one then get the moulds made which costs well into 5 figures then hope it works!!! I hate to think what Gardiners have spent developing their clamps but good luck to them because they've got a good product there!!

Aren't the new tucker poles made by gardiners and just rebranded?

I slipped into a coma watching that.

Having been completely muddled and confused about which bit goes with what bit in the first video, I'm now even more muddled about the boxes they come in.
I hope he hasn't got anyone working for him who is dyslexic. They'd have a nervous breakdown.

Yes... and now No!
The first sales batch of the new Tucker Carbon poles were developed and made by Gardiners for RHG (Tucker Pole's new owner).
However after this first batch Gardiner and RHG have parted ways and they have now developed their own clamp and tube sections for the Tucker Carbon poles.
-
It seems as though RHG are trying to take over the American market!! We had the same with gutter poles, suddenly RHG had designed poles for gutter vacuuming!! Trouble is they aren't very well designed because they jam, perhaps their window cleaning poles are better!!
