Title: CTEK Charger
Post by: jo5hm4n on August 14, 2016, 07:01:06 pm
Pure Freedom gave me a CTEK charger to charge the battery on the van mount system.

Now to save me having to read the manual to understand all of the different modes, could somebody who already has a charger just explain to me what setting i need to have it on please.

small battery, or normal battery program?  What number setting means that it's fully charged.

Thanks!

Just leave it on normal for day to day charging

Normal charging is the 'car'
1 is test the battery for charge
2 desulphurisation
3 maincharge
4 lower charge to top the battery up
Not sure about the rest

Not sure which model you have, but mine has a series of lights between the programs.

I have mine on car (normal) on the recon setting. This gives a trickle charge and keeps battery in best condition.

My 110 amp battery is now three years old (mayb more actually) and still runs perfect.

Despite a few guys on this forum telling me a charger is a charger and it makes no difference, I stand by my thoughts that ctek chargers are the dogs danglies.

A Ctech charger is the best charger money can buy don`t even try others I can tell you I own them all and every one on the market and c Tech will revive many batteries we would just dump.
