Hi richyp
Asking these questions after ordering it is not the best timing ;D
You will notice on each Xtreme pole product page on the website the following information has been included to help the client decide whether this is the right pole for them - Click Here to view the Xtreme Pole User Guide .pdf - Please read before purchasing - these poles need to be maintained in strict accordance with this user guide to prevent damage or wear. Here is the link being referenced - http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/Xtreme_Pole_Care_Guide.pdf (http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/Xtreme_Pole_Care_Guide.pdf)
The X3 Xtreme35 is an excellent pole and is a good improvement over the Series-II Xtreme pole but if you have any doubts of it's suitability for you and would rather think about it some more, please just let me know on alex@agardiner.co.uk and I can organize a cancellation of your order and refund.
It does need more careful maintenance and care than the standard SLX range of poles, but looked after it will reward with greater ease of use and user satisfaction.

Thanks Alex i will probably take you up on that offer and buy an slx. I havent a great deal of time for maintenance unfortunately. Even with the greatest of intentions it would get put off haha.. can i ask how the slx compares fully extended ? Is it very bendy ?

The SLX35 is not as rigid or as light as the Xtreme35, but the SLX is still a good pole. The advantage of the SLX is that it is far more robust in everyday use.
I think I have seen your order on the system - Is it Order # 100028795 ? As this was only received at about 4 o'clock today it has not yet been fulfilled. I will let the dispatch team know, not to send it out until you have spoken with the Customer Service team again on Monday.

Thanks alot alex

I'd have stuck with the extreme all the way.
We all have a spare 5 minutes at the end of each working week.
Both my extreme 18 and 25 are well over a year old now and are perfect.
At most I will have to replace one section per year. So about £100 per year to use the lightest and most rigid pole out there.
No brainer.

that sound promersing jonny as im shore your one is the older type with metal bands ?
-
Jonny 87. Can you shut windows with them at height because you need to from time to time and 100 notes is the worst case scenario ?
-
I used extremes for years but got fed up of sections breaking ... The slx is a much more hard wearing pole and better value for money imo....

We think this is the best explanation of the Xtreme range yet - "It does need more careful maintenance and care than the standard SLX range of poles, but looked after it will reward with greater ease of use and user satisfaction."
The X3s are a huge improvement on reliability from the X2 and make for a fantastic light weight pole.

I have an extreme 35 and i dont see how people break them i often close windows with mine .......i will admit mine has worn rather quickly but thats down to my laziness with maintenance .
section 3 on mine has worn enough to actually split along three quarters of the length of the bottom clamping section and has been like that for a year without snapping !

The extreme poles are superb, I honestly can't fault them. I use the 47 most days and it takes a good beating.
I haven't used an slx so can't compare but if wfp all day this is the pole to use
-
i use an slx 25 day to day at the moment and its brilliant , so tough and stiff and light enough .......over this height it becomes a bit floppy and heavy so would go for an extreme if i needed 35 ft pole .

Mine turns up for work every morning.
