Been window cleaning for 11 years, last year I have started using wfp so currently use it for 20% of my work but would like to convert all my work, just worried about loosing customers as I have picked up a lot over the years who didn't like wfp, any good tips for the switch is there a good letter to send explaining why

Fifteen years now i made the switch first just ups with wfp but after two years 97% of windows are done wfp ,at first i was willing to do any customers windows the old fashion way but as time went on i didnt care about the ones that didn't like wfp because for everyone i lost i gained three new customers, if you do the job right and keep asking customers if everything s ok you shouldn't haveva problem switching over

I trad for 14 yrs and been wfp for a yr now.
I ended up loosing only 2 customers because they wasnt prepared to accept a change in cleaning their windows. But i have gain soooo much more because of using wfp and being able to reach those windows trad guys cant.
I simply explained that when someone did a bad job on their windows, they blamed the trad guy not the equipment. Explained that, thats still the case. Blame the operator not the equipment!! Explain how even tho it may be a new concept to them, but this system has been going for 20yrs so obviously it works!
A quick explanation like that, put to bed their worries and i was able to carry on working with no problems. Nust make sure you do a good job!!

Stephen as has been stated on the other post there's no need for letters, clean away and if anybody asks then explain how it
works.
Most wont even notice or care.

I changed by explain the system to everyone and then just doing the upper windows for a couple of times so the customers could see it working. Then I started doing everything wfp and insisted to everyone it was that or nothing, I wasn't risking ladders anymore. I reckoned it was worth losing a few as I would make it up by being faster. As it turned out I lost 2 clients. I reassured the folks that I would happily call back and tidy up anything they weren't happy with, I very rarely get a complaint.

If they still don't want you to clean their windows "with that big brush thing" then walk away, while you still can.

Don't worry about it and just get on with it. This is how I would do it...
1. Make sure you are doing a good job of using the wfp and you don't leave spots.
2. Just turn up and just make a passing comment that you are using a new system and you've tried it on your own windows and it's brilliant. Tell them you are using it because you are worried for your own safety and don't want to use ladders any more.
3. Get on and clean.
4. This is the good bit.
Dry the front door and surround
Dry the underneath of the top openers so they don't drip onto the main window below. (obviously only on the ground floor windows)
Wipe the sills and the underneath of the lower windows (basically try to lessen anything that looks like it's dripping).
This should take an extra 3 mins in total.
Find a window that is already drying (I would start cleaning whichever side the sun is at) and show the custy (that although the window isn't fully dry) where it is drying, it is lovely and clean with no marks.
Tell them that the rest of the windows should dry like that.
Plus, by using the brush you have managed to get into all the little knooks and crannies of their window frames that your fingers can't get to.
I use this all the time on awkward new cleans and never lost a single one.
Hope it works for you.
PS ignore the letter, most people couldn't give a t00ss! ;D

Started 3 weeks ago and haven't lost one yet and done 75% of round....I gained an extra £65 of work for houses on my round that are unreachable upstairs by ladder due to height of the windows themselves and also 3 x 3 storey houses.
