quite big day today, had my missus helping me, she did about seven hours hoovering for me pre encap, she reckons my hoover is knick knacked, not enough suction for her, (ooh matron), she knows her stuff as shes worked with me valeting for years, no, make that decades, as well as doing a lot of cc ing recently! I realised when she said this that id had the same hoover for four years now, its a tennant, basically a sebo with a different name, for the German market, or so im told........
my question, i need to buy another hoover, pronto, what should i buy?? any good deals out there?
do i go sebo? kirby? an other, any thoughts chaps??

Don't think you can go wrong with the sebo bs36/46 vacuum Tim. I had the 46 before I sold up and bought a bs36 off eBay just for my own use and it's great!
What shocked me when looking to buy a vacuum as a consumer as opposed to a professional was the price of a dyson...shockingly high! so I stuck to what I knew best!

is it just me?
that gets niggled when people call a vacuum cleaner a hoover, especially professional c/c

I don't know what you mean Geoff.....
I currently use a Dyson hoover at home, and used to use a Sebo hoover for work...
:P :P

Agreed - Hoover was the name of a company that made vacuum cleaners. For the last 20 years plus the European section has been owned by the Italian firm Candy. So should we be calling them 'Candies' as opposed to Hoovers. The rest of the world refer to theirs as 'Bains' ;)

According to my dictionary, to " hoover" a carpet is to "vacuum" a carpet. Therefore a "hoover" is a reference to any vacuum cleaner surely. :D
-
A "hoover" is relationship blackmail. This slang term is often associated with individuals suffering from personality disorders like Borderline Personality Disorder ...

Yes annoying but easilly done. Royal vac is great if you can get one but I have never strayed from a Sebo.
I think value for money and great build quality.

wish id never asked................... ;D

You'd probably be best sticking to Sebo Tim. Karcher to a professional one which is also powerful etc but never tried one myself.
-
I use a kirby g7, great vacuum, well built, self drive motor, picks up and is powerful.
only flaw is that you need to dismantle the head from the vacuum cleaner everytime you want the hose attachment on, which can be fiddly sometimes. I think the sebo bs36 is pre-attached and you just pull it out when you want to switch between the two.

Lindhaus Pro30 is as good as a Sebo BS36

You should of seen one of my costumers face when I used the sebo bs36 on the carpet she just hoovered for me, she wanted to buy it of me. And then when I told her that its the same price as a dyson.
