Hi Fellas.
To the Viro- sol users, I have noticed the different coloured ( Red and a lighter orange on e bay ) are they the same product or a diluted version being the orange one. Help please. There seems to be a big difference in prices. What is a fair price.

Thanks, chaps, always knew I could depend on you for the information I need to make the right buy.
Dude , you gave it a couple of hours , people are working , having dinner , enjoying the sun etc !
Its possible nobody knows the answer , it could be variations in the camera used to take the pic and not actually be any different in colour in reality.
I would suggest buying from a clover distributor if you are unsure .

we use loads of the stuff (5l) a week and its always light orange never red , but we buy it from a supplyer not ebay
-
Viro-sol is always orange and never red...

I don't know what the big fuss is about with viro-sol as I thought it was pants myself for what I wanted it for.
Where does it say it's safe if it gets on glass. Which is the same as ubik 2000 that I use to use and they confirmed both are not meant to be used on glass ;D ;D
Look red to me ::)roll http://www.cloverchem.co.uk/2013/uk/product_detail.asp?prod_code=%27326%27&range_sub=%2720%27

Been down that rd smurf, asked clover chemicals if I could turn up to there site with my own ibc in the van and have it filled, there answer was there signed up to suppliers, ics being a local one to me.
As for the difference in colour ur right
Ics sell virosol as power sol as it's the lighter version, I have taken a bottle of virosol I got off mark South Wales guy who sells virosol in the darker version on eBay into ics and showed them the difference in colour
I even sent email to guy called James from clover chemicals but they say it's the same.
I no it's not the same coz I have used both and the darker version is defo better than the lighter version

I'm now buying it from a local motor factors £6. for 5 litres. Cheap as chips.

But my missus went mad when I started scrubbing the carpet with her head when I knocked over a glass of shiraz.
I didn't know what I was doing though as I was on my third bottle.

The reason I ask this question is because the lighter colour Virosol would be exposed to light which would lighten the product if it contained a bleach and the more dark red is kept in a darker store. I have bought both dark red and a lighter orange colour.

I agree with what you have found and Clover is correct its the same when it`s manufactured by after standing in a shops warehouse and shelf it will deteriorate. Colour change is the giveaway. The light red never become darker does it. ITs the dark one becoming light from the bleach ingredients in the stuff. This would decrease the workability of the product.

Where does it say it contains bleach?
-
HYDROCHLORIC ACID its just a weak solution,
CHLORIC is the give away.
n.
A clear, colorless, fuming, poisonous, highly acidic aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride, HCl, used as a chemical intermediate and in petroleum production, ore reduction, food processing, pickling, and metal cleaning. It is found in the stomach. Also called muriatic acid.
-
It is found in the stomach.
So, what does it taste like?
-
Its causes bad breath, but in a mild form.

You've still not answered my question.
Unless you mean it tastes like mild.

On the Virosol data sheet where does it say it contains bleach? The link is for acid wash you need to scroll down for virosol.

Those are already compounded ingrediency . Mate, I don`t need all this, take some virosol and put it on a white PVC window sill in droplet and see it beach blotches. Explain how this happens . Even Bleach in the shop does not say contains bleach or hypo so please mate stop been a PiTA. If you fell you know something better then tell us about it. And let`s hear a little of your wise advice. All you ever do split hair but really add very little to the going on`s in this forum. Its obvious you don`t like been taught anything. |So go your own way and find out all this yourself. I am tired of trying to help others on this forum.

What?
I use Virosol, if it contains bleach I'd like to know. You had too much sun again?
